Betty Guerrero, MA LPC-IT RD

Meet Betty.
I didn't take the traditional path into this work, and I'm glad I didn't!
Before becoming a registered dietitian and mental health psychotherapist, I studied molecular biology, worked in the fitness industry, competed in bodybuilding, toured as a musician, and spent years asking the same questions many of my clients ask today: What does it actually mean to be healthy?
Today, I help people untangle the noise around food, movement, and body image using evidence-based nutrition, curiosity, and compassion.
I believe mental health and nutrition belong in the same conversation.
Our relationship with food doesn't exist in isolation.
It's shaped by culture, family, identity, stress, trauma, and the stories we've been told about our bodies.
Raised in Puerto Rico in a Dominican household, I also understand how deeply food is woven into culture, celebration, and connection. Nutrition should honor that, not erase it.
PS: When I'm not working, you'll usually find me singing, tossing some weights around, drinking coffee, scouting brunch spots, or convincing myself I definitely don't need another pair of shoes.
Healing doesn't require becoming someone else.
It starts with trusting the person you already are.
